I was born in Kaliningrad and lived there until I was 28. Then I met a wonderful girl, Tania, from Lithuania, and since 2012, my family and I have been living in Klaipėda. Here, in 2012, we founded our first climbing center, “Scala Dream,” and in 2023, we introduced a brand-new concept to Lithuania—the “Fabrique” climbing and co-working space.
In the climbing industry, I have done everything—from gym construction and route setting to creating instructor training programs and coaching. Today, I coach youth, adult amateurs, and athletes; I set bouldering and sport climbing routes; and I am an online personal trainer, an outdoor climbing trip instructor, and an active athlete.
I started climbing in 1994, so my climbing experience spans over 30 years. I have a rich athletic background—I was a member of the national rock climbing team in the lead climbing discipline. My best sport climbing redpoint is 8c, and my best bouldering grade is 8a+.
I help people become stronger and achieve their goals in the gym or on the rocks. I test your abilities, create a training plan tailored to your level, monitor and advise you, and remain by your side even "online." It is important to me that the training process becomes a clear and suitable system for you, solves your problems, and—most importantly—brings joy.
Are you a climbing enthusiast, a beginner, or perhaps an experienced athlete? Great! Even coaches have coaches, because an outside perspective reveals "blind spots"—the things we do wrong, don't do fully, or don't do at all. In the gym, I help you refine your climbing movement and exercise technique, and advise you on what you can do personally to progress faster.
I feel best on the rocks. I believe that is where I can help people the most. Climbing on real rock has many nuances: morning preparation, planning the day, route selection, working out the moves, and finally, completing the route. I can be your instructor on your trip to the rocks, sharing twenty-five years of experience to help you work on (and maybe even send!) what seems impossible.
I believe that sharing knowledge is important. I contributed to the creation of the Lithuanian Climbing Sport Federation (LLSF) instructor and coach certification programs, and in cooperation with the LLSF and various climbing clubs, I have led seminars on route setting, training program design, dynamic movements, and the impact of rest and nutrition on athletic performance. Get in touch if you think I can be of service. --- Would you like me to translate a contact form or a call-to-action button to go with this?
I'm not a fan of gift vouchers. I prefer it when people choose for themselves and decide for themselves who they want to work with. But, if you are certain that gifting a voucher for my services will make someone happy, then do so!
